My sister advised me to nurse my baby during takeoff and landing so the sucking motion would help alleviate any pressure in his ears. This seems to work for him and had the added benefit of knocking him out for most of the flight which made for smooth sailing. I would also recommend bringing a nursing pillow to make nursing more comfortable and give your tot a comfy place to sleep.
